Physical Demands Analysis
Employees are the driving force of any company. It is important to have a suitable work environment in order to keep production levels up and help keep injuries and time lost at a minimum. A Physical Demands Analysis provides objective information about the demands of the disabled employee’s job. The results of such evaluations can be used to make recommendations on work site modifications which can help prevent costly chronic type injuries that can result in lost time claims. The evaluation will also assist the attending physician better understand the job demands and facilitate buy-in for a timely return to work.

Post –Offer Screening
A Post –Offer Screening evaluation will help provide valuable information on the fitness level of the employee before starting a new position including lifting, standing, walking, bending, pushing and pulling abilities. Post-Offer Screening also provides a baseline for current functional abilities in the event of a future lost time claim. It will ensure your new employees are physically capable of performing the physical demands of the job resulting in fewer lost time disability claims.

Functional Abilities Evaluations:
The Functional Evaluation is a significant tool that can be used to make objective and reliable assessments of the individual’s current physical abilities. A Functional Abilities Evaluation assesses the individual’s flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, cardiovascular condition and functional tolerances including lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying, as well as body mechanics.

A.R.S. Assessment Rehabilitation Services Inc. uses the ARCON system, a state of the art system for conducting FAE’s. Using the ARCON system our evaluators perform clinical functional testing, including work simulation tasks.

FAE’s provide the referral source with valuable information regarding a client’s abilities, limitation, and return to work needs. An FAE performed by A.R.S. will include completion of the Vernon-Mior, Revised Oswestry questionnaires along with a pain diagram.
